Following the Masters is a classical approach to drawing and painting which follows in the footsteps of the Master painters. This class is for anyone wanting to develop excellent drawing and painting skills. Working from photo reference and still life, students will learn about draftsmanship, composition, color mixing and how to create a realistic painting by observing objects. This class would benefit anyone looking to produce a portfolio, or simply those who want to learn classical painting techniques.


​Tuition: $30 per class or $100 per month.

 Saturday 11:15 am-12:45 pm

Sketching for Young Artists is a foundational drawing course that teaches students how to draw the inspiring world around them with more confidence and ease. The class will practice techniques to improve their understanding of form, light and texture, as well as develop their mastery of sketching materials such as pencil and charcoal.

A sketch materials kit is required for class. Complete kit may be purchased at the studio for $25

Roxanna Mostatabi is a painter born and raised in OC. Although she spent some time living in the Pacific Northwest, she has recently returned to her hometown and has begun teaching art again. She has her Bachelors in Illustration from Cal State Fullerton. She works freelance doing murals, portraits and often shows her work in local OC galleries. A few years ago she was well known locally for her cat paintings, which included a series of “Dia de Los Gatos,” or skull-faced kitties in acrylic. She also works in oil paint, watercolor and pastel. She enjoys painting imaginative subjects in a realistic way. She has been teaching art for the past 9 years.
